Elisha’s Info

I consider it an honor to be able to sit with people in their hardships. I engage with others in a highly-relational approach, knowing that healthy relationships are a key component to living whole. Oftentimes we feel stuck in the hard things, in past hurts, or in emotional and mental unwellness, and need new tools for our tool belts to manage and overcome the obstacles we’re facing. I want to support people in that process. I believe we were created with a purpose, each of us with unique gifts and abilities with a plan to live life to the full. Sometimes we get into seasons of life where we can’t see clearly and need help believing and knowing those truths.

My goal is to create a space for clients to feel emotionally safe and relationally accepted so that they are able to talk about the hard things in life. Clients can expect me to be fully present and committed to walking with them through the change process and the healing of emotional wounds. I am determined to listen, seek to understand their situation and perspectives, and work with them to achieve their therapy goals.

My latest training and areas of interest are working with couples navigating relational stuck points. I believe in the foundational elements of Attachment Theory, which says that we are wired to be connected and when we are disconnected and ruptures in the relationship aren’t repaired- those hurts seep into every other area of our life- and a key to the solution is reconnecting through healthy attachment. I can work with you to help you learn new patterns of relating and working through the places that keep you feeling stuck and defeated.

I am especially interested in working with individuals who want to integrate their Christian faith into sessions, as well as working with believers who hold leadership positions in the church and need a safe space to process the unique elements of Christian leaders in ministry. I have extensive experience in serving in the church, providing biblical counsel and discipleship with both adolescents and adults. I also love working with individuals (14 and above) wanting to work through anger, relational hurts, negative core beliefs, depression and anxiety, low self-worth, grief and loss.
