Gillian Sapp SWT – Intern
Gill’s Heart for Counseling
I want to work with people who are tired of letting anxiety and depression control their lives. I believe freedom can be found from that by having a safe relationship with your therapist and an environment where you can rediscover your worth. I might try to engage with clients by attempting to connect with their humor or personal interests, and I really enjoy incoorperating conversations about faith into my sessions when clients request this type of intervention.
Gillian’s Style
Clients can expect me to mostly use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach where I help clients become aware of their core beliefs and work through thinking that may be inaccurate. With my younger clients, I engage in play therapy where we will have conversations while we work with toys, coloring, play dough or other forms of fun!
