EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Grace received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She is recognized by the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Grace received training working with various populations before coming to Live Wellness. She worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital on the mood and anxiety unit where she worked with individuals of all ages who were struggling with behavioral and emotional issues. Grace received training in crisis counseling and is equipped to handle crisis situations and create safety plans for individuals at risk. She also worked at a private practice where she counseled individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, marital issues, and adjustments to the everyday stressors of life.

APPROACH TO COUNSELING

Grace is a firm believer that no person or issue is ever beyond redemption. Her hope is to walk alongside individuals to bring healing and restoration. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages, particularly adolescents and young adults. Her passion is working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse as well as working with clients who are adopted. Helping clients move out of the darkness of their circumstance and into the hope and light of the futures is a very humbling experience and Grace truly believes that every person can experience this freedom. She takes a person-centered approach to counseling and she also uses cognitive behavioral therapy.
