Laura Walts MA, LPCC

Laura Walts, MA, LPCC, obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Miami University and Master’s degree from Liberty University in Professional Counseling. She has worked in community and home-based settings through a community mental health agency, where she served adults, children, teens and their families. She has also worked at a Christian private practice, and as a school-based clinician, where she provided prevention and treatment services in elementary and middle schools.

Laura considers counseling a “calling” and finds it an honor to walk along-side her clients and families in their difficulties, to promote hope, healing, and change. She provides an integrative approach, including experience in Cognitive behavioral therapy and the Christian faith when relevant. Laura has been trained in EMDR, an evidence-based treatment which approaches healing from a neurobiological perspective. She also implements play therapy techniques and has training in Synergetic play therapy.
