Lisa Simon LPCC

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Lisa graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design. Lisa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) certified by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. 

Lisa gained clinical experience in community mental health and private practice settings before joining the LIVE Wellness team as a therapist.

Lisa is trained and experienced in diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental health issues using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the Gottman Method for relationships and marriage, and Family Systems Therapy, and is certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist in The Grief Recovery Method.

Lisa believes grieving losses is an important part of life and healing, and feels honored to have clients share their stories and allow her to accompany them through the grieving process. 

Lisa develops and delivers presentations about grief and loss in both educational and faith-based settings.
