EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Tao received her Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work from Gongshang University in China and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University. Tao is a Licensed Independent Social Worker certified by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board.

She received her training working with children and families at Starting Point as well as International Service Center in Cleveland.

Following graduation, Tao worked at The Center for Families and Children and then Firelands Regional Medical Center as a mental health therapist providing counseling to individuals, families, and couples. She has received extensive training and experience in diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental health and behavioral issues using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Systematic Desensitization/Graduated Exposure Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy.
