A year and a half ago the idea of being able to stay home every day was just a fantasy. It sounded like a dream come true until COVID-19 caught the world by storm and made it a reality. Unfortunately, this reality isn’t nearly as dreamy as the one we imagined during those long days at the office. Humans are social and we need to be able to travel and interact with others or we go against everything we were designed to do. Interrupting this need for interaction causes stress in a way many of us haven’t experienced before, but there are things you can do to effectively deal with stress during COVID-19. At Live Wellness Center, we offer positive counseling sessions over the phone or in-person – contact us today or take a look at our FAQ page for more information.
Maintain Routines
Maintaining a routine in a time of uncertainty is one of the best things you can do to keep some sense of familiarity in your daily life. People like knowing what to expect and a great way of accomplishing this is establishing a routine and adhering to it. Work, sleep, meals, and exercise are all things that should be done at the same time each day to minimize the amount of stress you experience.
Daily Exercise
Daily exercise can improve your mood and is one of the best ways of relieving stress. This can be any kind of exercise but a combination of both physical and mental exercise is recommended for maximum stress relief. Exercising isn’t just lifting weights and running on the treadmill. It can be any activity in which your mind, physical body, or both are engaged.

Stay Connected
Staying connected to friends and family by phone and video chat when necessary is a great way to cope with stress during COVID-19. Humans are social and by not having regular interaction with those closest to us we interrupt a deeply ingrained desire which inevitably leads to stress.
Don’t Face Stress Alone
If the stress you are experiencing becomes too much you should seek help. This is a hard time for everybody and you don’t have to face it alone. Here at Live Wellness Center, we are accepting new clients for counseling and coaching sessions by phone or in person. Contact us today to find out more.
