I’m Gillian Hicks, a Licensed Social Worker who understands what it’s like to face anxiety and overwhelm. Through my own experiences, I’ve developed a deep passion and compassion for helping others. I believe true healing comes from understanding your emotions, not from quick fixes, and I strive to build trust so we can explore the deeper issues you may not have shared before.
I have a desire for my clients to feel seen and understood. I will come alongside you with sensitivity, encouragement and a heart to illuminate your strengths so you can find the light you are looking for.
Opening up in therapy can feel like a risk but my sensitive, empathetic and nurturing approach to working with clients is unique. I have been there. I have personally found healing in my own struggles and would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey. I will work hard for you to find solutions and provide support for you through difficult times.
Therapy with me starts with empathy for your story and I will work with you to know yourself better and learn how your thoughts, behaviors and feelings are connected and where they are coming from. I specialize in working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, panic and ADHD. At your request, I am passionate about incorporating faith into therapy as I have seen the importance of a holistic approach to healing.
